Lowestoft: a Shore Lark south past Ness Point.
Southwold: a GREY PHALAROPE south with a second Phalarope species past ten minutes later.
Sizewell: an Arctic Tern at the outfall.
Upper Hollesley Common: the BROWN SHRIKE still present by the MOD compound.
Landguard: a Little Auk south.

Two Velvet Scoters were tracked south all the way down the Suffolk coast:

Lowestoft: a Little Auk north off Ness Point.
Benacre: a GREY PHALAROPE close inshore just south of the Broad.
Southwold: a BLACK-THROATED DIVER reported north offshore plus two Little Auks on the sea.
Walberswick: three FAN-TAILED WARBLERS again present north of the Buckthorn clump, close to Dunwich River.
Upper Hollesley Common: the BROWN SHRIKE still present but within the MOD compound.
Bawdsey: a Little Auk on the sea off East Lane.
Landguard: a Little Auk flew south along the beach plus three Arctic Terns offshore.

October 29th
Lowestoft: two Little Auks south off Ness Point and one on the sea off the Birds Eye factory before flying north.
Kessingland: the Shore Lark by the shore pools.
Southwold: a Little Auk north offshore. A Firecrest in the churchyard.
Minsmere: a Little Auk and a Velvet Scoter south off East Lane.
North warren: a Cattle Egret on South Marsh.
Slaughden: a Little Auk close in to shore near the sailing club then flew south with a second one later.
Bawdsey: two Little Auks south off East Lane.
Upper Hollesley Common: the BROWN SHRIKE still present but within the MOD compound.
Landguard: up to three Little Auks south.
October 28th
Corton: a Yellow-browed Warbler along the disused railway.
Lowestoft: a Little Auk north at Ness Point.
Kessingland: a Shore Lark along the beach pool edges opposite Hollies holiday park.
Benacre: eight Whooper Swans on the Broad.
Southwold: up to five Little Auks south and a Great Skua north. Two Velvet Scoters off the harbour.
Minsmere: a Little Auk south. A Purple Sandpiper at the sluice and a Velvet Scoter south.
Westleton: a Short-eared Owl near to Chatburn Farm.
Slaughden: a Snow Bunting feeding by the yacht club, a Little Auk south, a Pomarine Skua north and a Great Skua north. Four Shore Larks south of the Martello Tower then flew low south, with one refound a half mile south of the metal gate.
Sudbourne: eight Cattle Egrets on Sudbourne Marshes.
Upper Hollesley Common: the BROWN SHRIKE still present but within the MOD compound.
Felixstowe: two Little Auks south.
Alton Water: three Red-crested Pochards.
Mildenhall: the Yellow-browed Warbler still present.

October 27th
Lowestoft: a Sooty shearwater south past Ness Point and a Little Auk north past Denes Oval plus one flew from the south and dropped on the sea at Ness Point. Two GREY PHALAROPES flew north off North Beach.
Benacre: a Little Auk south. A Little Stint on the Broad.
Southwold: a Little Auk south.
Minsmere: a Little Auk south.
Sizewell: a Little Auk north.
Slaughden: a Little Auk just offshore by the Martello Tower.
Orford: the Yellow-browed Warbler still around the Castle area.
Bawdsey: five Pomarine Skuas south (a pale morph adult then a group of four) off East Lane.
Upper Hollesley Common: the BROWN SHRIKE again on the heath.
Lackford Lakes: a Yellow-browed Warbler.
Mildenhall: the Yellow-browed Warbler still present.
October 26th
Hopton: two Firecrests at Warren Lane.
Corton: two Yellow-browed Warblers and 15+ Firecrests along the disused railway. Three Whooper Swans in off and high south-west.
Lowestoft: a Yellow-browed Warbler at Sparrow's Nest Garden plus 4+ Firecrests. Further Firecrests around the town with 2+ at Leathes Ham, two at Kensington Gardens and four behind the Crop Shop. Off Ness Point, a Pomarine Skua and a Long-tailed Duck south with a Sooty Shearwater north.
Kessingland: a Yellow-browed Warbler and 3+ Firecrests at Heathland Copse. A Little Auk flew north.
Covehithe: a Black Redstart by the church.
Minsmere: a Firecrest by the pond.
Aldeburgh: three Firecrests at Church Farm Road and a Long-tailed Duck south offshore.
Alde Estuary: 7+ Firecrests.
Orfordness: two Short-eared Owls in off.
Orford: two Whooper Swans on Chantry Marsh. A Yellow-browed Warbler and two Firecrests around the Castle area.
Upper Hollesley Common: the BROWN SHRIKE again on the heath.
Mildenhall: the Yellow-browed Warbler still present.​

Corton: two Yellow-browed Warblers along the disused railway plus nine Firecrests. A Firecrest plus a Short-eared Owl flew out west at the old sewage works.
Lowestoft: a Long-tailed Duck north and a juvenile adult Arctic Tern south off Ness Point. Two Firecrests in small pines at Asda, by Lake Lothing.
Mutford: ten Waxwings just north-east of Pond Farm.
Benacre: two Firecrests in a copse east of Beach Farm.
Southwold: two Slavonian Grebes drifting south offshore. A RED-BREASTED FLYCATCHER along North Road. Two Purple Sandpipers north of the pier.
Walberswick: a Black Redstart at Eastwood Lodge Farm. A Richardson's Canada Goose in a mixed goose flock.
Blythburgh: a Jack Snipe flushed up from the rear of the White Hart.
Minsmere: a Firecrest in South Level bushes and another by entrance to East Hide and two in the Sluice bushes. Two Ring-necked Parakeets at west end of the North Wall.
​Aldeburgh: nine Firecrests present (five Church Farm Road, one Park Road, two at the Pumphouse and one in the churchyard).
​Alde Estuary: at least Firecrests.
Orford: a Yellow-browed Warbler in trees north of the castle.

Benacre: eight Whooper Swans and a Red-breasted Merganser on Benacre Broad.
Covehithe: a Yellow-browed Warbler in a clifftop hedgerow.
Walberswick: two Glossy Ibises on Town Marshes.
Dunwich Forest: two Glossy Ibises flew over |Dunwich Road car park.
Aldeburgh: two Firecrests at the junction of Aldehouse Lane and Victoria Road.
Aldeburgh Marsh: a Ring Ouzel.
Orford: two Black Redstarts in north edge of the village. A Yellow-browed Warbler and two Firecrests in trees north of Orford Castle.
Bawdsey: a Purple Sandpiper at East Lane.
Upper Hollesley Common: the BROWN SHRIKE again on the heath.
Landguard: an Arctic Tern south and an Arctic Skua north. A Firecrest in Holm Oaks at the Obs.
Wherstead Strand: a female Scaup just down from the Orwell Bridge.
Mildenhall: the Yellow-browed Warbler still present.

Southwold: a male Smew north offshore.
Minsmere: four TWITE on the beach between East Hide and the sluice, a Firecrest and a Black Redstart by the sluice.
Aldeburgh: a Firecrest in the churchyard.
October 22nd
Thorpeness: three Glossy Ibises flew north over the Meare.
Orford: a Black Redstart on the north edge of the village and a Yellow-browed Warbler in a wooded gulley south of the castle.
Upper Hollesley Common: a BROWN SHRIKE on the heath opposite Red Lodge cottage, viewed from the track that goes towards the MOD site.
Landguard: two Glossy Ibises flew south, five Arctic Terns feeding in the river, a Black Redstart and four Firecrests.
Mildenhall: the Yellow-browed Warbler still present.
October 21st
Corton: a Firecrest in the north part of Corton Wood.
Kessingland: a Yellow-browed Warbler with a Firecrest at Heathlands caravan park.
Benacre: a Whooper Swan and a Little Stint on Benacre Broad.
Walberswick: at least three FAN-TAILED WARBLERS again present midway between the beach huts and the clump of Buckthorn.
Dunwich: a Firecrest in a hedge opposite Cliff House caravan park.
Thorpeness: a Long-tailed Skua south of OCP.
Orford: a Yellow-browed Warbler and a Firecrest in bushes south-west of the castle.
Bawdsey: at East Lane, a Purple Sandpiper, a Merlin in off and a Firecrest along the concrete track.
Felixstowe Ferry: 2+ Firecrests in the copse at the start of Tomline Wall.
Landguard: two Firecrests.
Mildenhall: the Yellow-browed Warbler still present.
October 20th
Lowestoft: a Yellow-browed Warbler again along Malsters Score.
Thorpeness: two Yellow-browed Warblers (one in the central plantation and one by the allotments) and five Firecrests at OCP.
Aldeburgh: a Firecrest and a Yellow-browed Warbler in the churchyard.
Aldeburgh Marsh: a Glossy Ibis.
Slaughden: an Arctic Tern south.
Shingle Street: the PALLAS'S WARBLER again and three Firecrests at the allotments.
Bawdsey Quay: a Ring-necked Parakeet flew over near the picnic site.
Landguard: a Yellow-browed Warbler and the PALLAS'S WARBLER still in the LBO compound plus a Firecrest.
Lakenheath Fen: a Yellow-browed Warbler along the track to the washland.
Mildenhall: the Yellow-browed Warbler still present along the footpath on the east side of the cricket club.

Lowestoft: a Yellow-browed Warbler between Gunton Wood and Gunton Meadow.
Benacre: a Little Stint on Benacre Broad.
Southwold: a Firecrest along ditch before 7th green at the golf course and two in sycamores by the campsite. A Great Skua and an Arctic Skua north offshore. A Yellow-browed Warbler in the copse along North Road plus five Firecrests in the copse and along the gravel track.
Walberswick: two Yellow-browed Warblers in a wood just off Palmers Lane.
Minsmere: a juvenile Arctic Skua on Island Mere before being chased away.
Thorpeness: a Snow Bunting south inshore and a Goosander south. A Yellow-browed Warbler at OCP and one in sycamores at the north-east corner of the allotments.
North Warren: two Eurasian Greater White-fronted Geese on South Marsh.
Aldeburgh: 6+ Firecrests present around the town and a Yellow-browed Warbler in the churchyard.
Slaughden: a Snow Bunting.
Orford: two Black Redstarts in the village and a Firecrest by the Jolly Sailor.
Shingle Street: a Firecrest in tamarisks by the allotment area.
Bawdsey: a Firecrest along the concrete track at East Lane.
Alderton: a Firecrest trapped and ringed at The Lodge.
Landguard: the PALLAS'S WARBLER still in the LBO compound, a Short-eared Owl south offshore plus two Black Redstarts and two Firecrests.
October 18th
Corton: a Yellow-browed Warbler along the old railway line.
Gunton: a Yellow-browed Warbler at Dip Farm by the bridge.
Lowestoft: a Yellow-browed Warbler along Malsters Score and another north of Denes Oval. A CORY'S SHEARWATER off Ness Point plus an adult Arctic Tern south.
Kessingland: a Yellow-browed Warbler at Heathlands caravan park.
Thorpeness: a Short-eared Owl north over the OCP and a Manx Shearwater north. A redhead Goosander on Thorpeness Meare.
​Alde Estuary: two Yellow-browed Warblers, two Ring Ouzel and Brambling plus a Firecrest.
​Orfordness: an Osprey, a Snow Bunting and a Spotted Flycatcher.
Boyton Marsh: three Cattle Egrets.
Hollesley Marsh: a Yellow-browed Warbler along the entrance track.

Alderton: a Firecrest trapped and ringed at The Lodge.

Lowestoft: a Great Skua and four Little Gulls off Ness Point and a Pied Flycatcher along North Denes slope at Links Road.

Breydon South Wall: 23 Cattle Egrets on the marshes.
Lowestoft: a third-winter Caspian Gull on groynes at Lowestoft North Beach and a Yellow-browed Warbler along North Denes.
Covehithe: a Ring Ouzel in hedges near the cliff top.
Aldeburgh: the Yellow-browed Warbler again in the churchyard.
Aldeburgh Marsh: a Glossy Ibis.
Alde Estuary: a Common Redstart.​
Hazlewood Marsh: an Osprey.
Iken: 11 Cattle Egrets along Sandy Lane.
Felixstowe Ferry: a Spoonbill flew don river and landed on the saltings.
Trimley Marsh: the WHITE-TAILED EAGLE again viewable from the viewpoint before flying high south plus four Cattle Egrets.
Pipps Ford: four Whooper Swans flew low east.

Aldeburgh: the Yellow-browed Warbler again in the churchyard.

Dunwich: the male TURKESTAN SHRIKE still on Dunwich Heath near the Coastguard Cottages plus a Yellow-browed Warbler near the road entrance.
Aldeburgh: a Yellow-browed Warbler in the churchyard.
Trimley Marsh: a WHITE-TAILED EAGLE viewable from the viewpoint, feeding on a carcass plus seven Cattle Egrets.
Cattawade: the Glossy Ibis again near Flatford Mill.
October 9th
Lowestoft: a first-winter Shag north along Lowestoft North Beach.
Carlton Marsh: a Glossy Ibis still on the pool at the north end of Share Marsh.
Dunwich: the male TURKESTAN SHRIKE still on Dunwich Heath.
Woodbridge: an Osprey heading up river just south of Woodbridge.
Cattawade: a Glossy Ibis near Flatford Mill.

Dunwich: the male TURKESTAN SHRIKE still on Dunwich Heath plus a Yellow-browed Warbler heard around the chalets about 150m before the car park checkpoint. A Lapland Bunting on the beach, north of the beach car park. A Garganey on shore pools, 1 mile north of the car park.
Orford: a Firecrest on the eastern edge of the village.

Carlton Marsh: a Glossy Ibis still on the pool at the end of Share Marsh, by the river.
Holton: 9+ Whooper Swans over Holton Pits.
Benacre: two Whooper Swans on Benacre Broad.
Covehithe: a Snow Bunting south from Covehithe cliffs.
Walberswick: seven Whooper Swans on shore pools 1km south of Walberswick. 2+ ZITTING CISTICOLAS again present around one mile south of the black beach huts.
Dunwich: the male TURKESTAN SHRIKE still on Dunwich Heath.
Thorpeness: a Sooty shearwater north of the old caravan park.
Landguard: a Glossy Ibis south over LBO.

October 5th
Reydon: a Glossy Ibis flew south over St. Felix marshes.
Dunwich: the male TURKESTAN SHRIKE on Dunwich Heath showed occasionally through the day. A Glossy Ibis flew north at 07:44 then a further four flying above the coastguard Cottages at 10:04. Later, one south at 15:08. A WHITE-TAILED EAGLE flew south-west over the Heath and drifted over Minsmere woods. A Yellow-browed Warbler north of the Coastguard Tea Rooms. Three Spoonbills north.
Iken: two Cattle Egrets along Sandy Lane.
Waldringfield: an Osprey again in a dead tree 1/2 mile up river.

Carlton Marsh: a Glossy Ibis still on the pool at the end of Share Marsh, by the river.

Dunwich: the male TURKESTAN SHRIKE on Dunwich Heath showed occasionally through the day. Note: Dunwich Heath car park will be closed on Saturday October 4th due to high winds - avoid parking by the entrance to the site as this needs to be kept clear at all times for emergency services).
October 2nd
Benacre: three Caspian Gulls on the Broad.
Walberswick: a Snow Bunting still and an Arctic Skua north over the shore pools.
Dunwich: a male TURKESTAN SHRIKE on Dunwich Heath.
Iken: five Cattle Egrets along Sandy Lane plus an Osprey hunting on the river.
Ramsholt: two Ospreys over the north bank of the River Deben.
Waldringfield: an Osprey in a dead tree 1/2 mile up river.
Sutton Hoo: a Glossy Ibis in a field between Sutton Hoo Farm and the river.
Shotley Marsh: 14 Cattle Egrets with cattle.
October 1st
Hen Reedbeds: the WHITE-TAILED EAGLE was over Hen Reedbeds, then south over Walberswick.
Minsmere: a juvenile Curlew Sandpiper on East Scrape.
Orford: a Short-eared Owl in off at Chantry Point.
