Project Godwit have marked and released some wild Black-tailed Godwits, and they would like your help to track their movements. Please send your colour ring sightings and find out more information at: projectgodwit.org.uk
Please take note of the date, time and location where you saw the bird, along with its colour ring combination. If you would like information about the bird that you have seen, please provide a contact email address.
All Black-tailed Godwits colour ringed under our project wear a lime colour ring with the letter “E” on the right hand leg, above the knee. Birds will also have additional colour rings or a white flag engraved with two digits.
